I Was Waiting For It...

Remember how I said I accidentally listed a fake Kate Spade bag the other day and E-Bay threatened my life?  Well...I half-joked about waiting to hear back from the lady that bought the Gucci wallet saying it was a fake, too.

WELL GUESS WHAT???

I just got that email.  She wants her money back.  She chided me for trying to sell something fake like this on ebay and how she would NEVER do such a thing.

DEAR.
GOD.

I have lost so much friggin' money this week with the shipping and now the fakes....talk about gunshy.  I'm not sure if I should push on and try to keep learning about stuff...or if I should hang up my auction gloves.

What do you think?

Help me before I go complely broke.....or nuts....whichever comes first.  So damn frustrated.

  1. That's the problem with selling the big name bags and stuff. There are so many fakes out there. Most of them are done so well, you can hardly tell they are fake. Yikes!

  2. One thought I have is to apologize and tell her you didn't realize, & refund her $. You could tell her to keep the wallet to save you the return shipping. Just a thought. [Maybe it wasn't much $ for ship, and you would like to have the wallet.] Just trying to help ya save a little!

  4. I have been selling on eBay since 2003. I have had nothing but positive experiences both buying and selling.

Here is my two cents: Unless you bought it yourself from a reputable retailer, do not sell handbags. I have sold Coach and LV with no problems but I knew they were "real" I have had the most success with selling DVDs and CDs. Occasionally I will sell clothes but only ones that have tags. Before E-readers, I sold some books that were in good condition too. Make sure you include all details in your listings so that there won't be any confusion. I would even go to the extent of putting a disclaimer saying you have made every effort to list ALL the product details. I have sold shoes too that were new or only worn once. There are a number of books out there that help you with selling on eBay. I would check out my local library to see if they have it. I have one if you aren't able to find it. I would be willing to send it to you. Let me know if you have any questions. My ebay account is under kateskreation
