Who's Juicing?

Is there anyone of you that reads this juicing?  I've heard about it for years and just never messed with it.  I don't want to do hardcore like some people...juicing at every meal.  But I'm considering it for breakfast and lunch and for a couple of different reasons.

First of all, I'm just too damn busy these days with the storms at work.  I'm looking for a way to simplify the meal process.  If I mix up a big batch in a couple of different pitchers at one time....I shouldn't have to fool with individual meals every single day...drives me nuts.

Secondly, we have an adjuster that works for us that I saw a couple of months ago when he came in the office.  He's diabetic like me...but unlike me, his #'s are sky high and he was having to take 20 units of insulin in his stomach every day.  That was a couple of months ago.

I saw him again yesterday and I was absolutely shocked at how much weight he's lost.  He is a HOTTIE now!!  And he's down to 10 units of insulin instead of 20.

How much produce would you have to buy to make it work?  Any tips?

I may not do it if it's too expensive....just inquiring. :)

  1. I have not juiced but maybe you could go to the library and check out a book or two on it and see what is involved. Also you could Google a juicing recipie to see what kinds of quantities they are requiring.

Looking forward to what you find out!

  6. I'm sure you can research it in depth online. Perhaps there are even bloggers writing about juicing.

I wonder if it is not recommended to make the juice ahead of time & store in pitchers? I don't know this, but maybe it is really best to always make fresh.

I would think it would require pretty many veggies, which will work out since ya'll are planting a garden, right? :) In your spare time...ha

  7. WATCH "FAT SICK AND NEARLY DEAD". It will tell you everything you need to know and be the biggest dose of motivation you've had in a while. I promise. You can stream it on Netflix or rent the DVD now.

  8. Hi Tammy
Vitix is a high powered blender like at jamba juice. You literally put anything in it and it breaks the food down for ultimate absorption, google for lots of info
Also the website Crazy Secy diet and book are full of great info
For quick meals try protein powder berries spinach and a little milk if u can drink, or juice, throw in a bit of carrot
    Yum

  9. I love having green monster smoothies for breakfast and have learned if I use all frozen ingredients I'm not wasting money on fruit and veggies going bad. There are tons of recipes out there (Angela at oh she glows has tons). My favorite is 1/2 banana, frozen mixed fruit (strawberries, peaches and melon), a big dose of fresh or frozen spinach and water blended in my magic bullet. It is so delicious and amazing how filling it is but if it doesn't hold me over til lunch I'll have some Greek yogurt mid morning.
