A Slow Suicide

I've got something that's been bothering me for a while now.  It rides around in the back of my mind, and no matter how I try to occupy my thoughts with more pleasant things, it's always there.  I wanted to post about it, but couldn't seem to get it out.  Thankfully, my lifetime friend, Pam, wrote a post about it today.  Go to Pam's blog to read about what I didn't know how to say.

  1. Just read Pam's post and commented. What a powerful and troublesome story, but food for reflection and conviction about our own lives.

  2. We are prone to self-destruction...the key is recognizing it and fighting against it.

  3. WOW ... although I have been through many love ones who fought, won and lost the battle to cancer ... this posting was a quick reminder to me of MY life's worth. My prayers are with this gentlemen, you, and your friend Pam! I know God has plans for us all ... through all the struggles and trials, God is holding our hands and molding us for our futures to serve Him!!!

  4. Pam did an excellent job writing about a very tough subject. Many thanks to her for writing it, and for you in pointing us in her direction to read it. I have been thinking about it ever since I read it yesterday and how self destructive we humans can be sometimes. Some of us more than others. And for what reason exactly?
